What is heraldry? In the Society for Creative Anachronism, heraldry includes designing, blazoning, and passing armorial devices for members of the society as well as the creation of authentic names for members' personas. |

Who are the Heralds? Ladies and Gentles who are readily available to assit you through the murky waters of Heraldry. They will not only help you design a device (a.k.a. coat of arms), but help you develop period a name and persona. A persona is who you would have been had you existed in the Middle Ages.
Heralds are also the people heard crying camps with the announcements or news for the day, as well as individuals who direct Royal and Baronial Courts - calling people before the assembled Royalty or Baron and Baroness and reading scrolls, etc.
